Self-Massage for Stressed-Out Queers • QPM Virtual Workshop
Are you feeling more hot-to-foam-roll than hot-to-go? You're not alone.
Queer and trans folks often hold extra tension in their bodies, and finding supportive, affirming body care can feel complicated and overwhelming.
In this workshop, you'll learn how the body holds stress, pain, and tension — and how you can take relief into your own hands. Using simple tools to work with those stubborn knots and aches, you'll build skills to help your body find more ease and comfort in your day-to-day.
In this workshop, we'll cover:
- Anatomy of common areas for stress and tension
- How to work with your myofascial structure
- Simple and adaptable self-myofascial massage practices to help deal with tension and pain
This workshop is scheduled for Thursday, November 7 at 7:00 pm ET. It will be recorded and made available to ticket holders for 30 days after the event.
This workshop is led by Jae Friedman, LMT! Jae (she/they) is a farmer-turned-bodyworker who practices massage therapy in New York. She offers affirming, body-neutral, and accessible massage and self-care practices focused on enabling clients to have more ease and comfort in their lives.
Access to this workshop is included with the QPM All-Access Pass.
