This workshop is a pep talk and a love letter to all LGBTQ+ people who consider themselves "late bloomers" because of their religious upbringing.

In this workshop, sex educator and creator of the Purity Culture Dropout Program, Erica Smith, will guide attendees through everything they need to know if they're coming to terms with (or questioning) their sexual or gender identity after growing up in high-control religion.

We'll touch on the phenomenons of queer imposter syndrome and internalized homophobia, talk about coming out, identity labels, dating, sex, and more.

In this virtual workshop, we will:

  • Explore queer imposter syndrome and internalized homophobia
  • Dive into what "coming out" means in your life
  • Untangle identity labels
  • Dive into the shame-free how-tos of dating, sex, and more!

This workshop is scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at 2:00 pm ET. It will be recorded and made available to ticket holders for 30 days after the event.

This workshop is led by Erica Smith! Erica (she/her) is an award-winning sexuality educator and consultant with over 24 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has provided comprehensive sex education and advocacy to young women and LGBTQ+ youth in Philadelphia’s juvenile justice system, worked in abortion care, and supported HIV+ and transgender adolescents and their families.

In 2019, she developed the Purity Culture Dropout™️ Program to help people learn all of the sex education that they missed growing up in purity culture — sex ed that is accurate, queer inclusive, trauma informed, compassionate, and comprehensive. She has since worked with hundreds of people to help them learn about healthy sexuality after high-control religion. Erica lives in Philadelphia with her partner and house full of rescue animals.

Access to this workshop is included with the QPM All-Access Pass.
